Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is now streaming. But you will not find it on CBS, Netflix, or Paramount+. This Big Bang Theory spinoff premiered on July 23, 2026, as an HBO Max original.
The first season has 10 episodes. New episodes arrive every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET. The finale is scheduled for September 24.

What is Stuart Fails to Save the Universe about?
The series follows Stuart Bloom, the struggling comic book store owner played by Kevin Sussman in The Big Bang Theory. After breaking a quantum device created by Sheldon, Leonard and Howard, Stuart accidentally causes a multiverse Armageddon.
Restoring reality becomes his responsibility, despite his lack of heroic instincts. He is joined by his girlfriend Denise, played by Lauren Lapkus; geologist Bert Kibbler, played by Brian Posehn; and physicist Barry Kripke, played by John Ross Bowie.
Their journey brings them into contact with alternate versions of familiar Big Bang Theory characters. As the title warns, Stuart’s attempts to repair the damage rarely go as planned.
Where to watch Stuart Fails to Save the Universe
Here are the providers with this new title:
1. HBO Max
The most direct option is the official Stuart Fails to Save the Universe page on HBO Max. Every US HBO Max plan includes the series:

Basic with Ads and Standard support two simultaneous streams in Full HD. Standard also includes 30 offline downloads. Premium raises the household limit to four streams and provides up to 100 downloads, with 4K and Dolby Atmos offered on supported titles.
HBO Max does not provide a standard direct free trial. Eligible US college students could get Basic with Ads for $5.49. This is only after verifying their enrolment through UNiDAYS.
Before paying, check whether you have HBO Max already. It comes with your internet, mobile or television plan. Selected DIRECTV, AT&T, Cricket Wireless, Philo and Spectrum packages include access. You would activate the service through your provider and then watch through the HBO Max app.
2. Hulu
US viewers could also watch the series through Hulu after adding HBO Max. The add-on costs $10.99 per month with ads or $18.49 for the Standard version, on top of your Hulu subscription.
Hulu’s ordinary $11.99 plan does not include the show by itself. You need the HBO Max add-on or the Disney+, Hulu and HBO Max bundle.
This three-service bundle costs $19.99 per month with ads. You pay $32.99 without ads.
It offers better value if you already want Disney+ and Hulu. Some HBO Max content plays inside Hulu, while the complete library remains available through the separate HBO Max app.
3. Prime Video Channels
Amazon subscribers could find the show through the HBO Max channel on Prime Video. This keeps playback and billing within Amazon instead of requiring a direct HBO Max subscription.
The channel offers HBO Max Basic with Ads and Standard with monthly billing. It does not provide HBO Max’s cheaper annual payment options. A free-trial offer sometimes appears for eligible accounts, so check the signup screen before confirming payment.
The series is not included with an ordinary Prime membership. You must activate the paid HBO Max channel.
4. Crave
In Canada, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe streams on Crave, not through a standalone HBO Max subscription.
