Philo adds more free channels to its massive no-cost lineup

Philo is accelerating its push into the free ad-supported streaming television market with a bold expansion. As of April 2026, Philo adds more free channels to its standalone free tier.

With this update, Philo now offers over 130 free channels. Anyone with internet access and a compatible device can watch.

What channels has Philo added?

The newest channels include popular reality shows, game shows, and courtroom programs. New additions feature Judge Judy, the well-known small-claims court series; Hot Bench, a three-judge panel show from Judy Sheindlin; and Deal or No Deal, the hit game show where contestants compete for a big cash prize.

Fans of early-2000s reality TV can now watch The Osbournes and Fear Factor. These channels bring nostalgic shows to viewers for free, with no monthly fees.

Beyond reality TV, Philo added more free channels through a new distribution agreement with Versant Media Group’s Free TV Networks. This partnership has introduced three culturally focused channels:

  • 365BLK, which features Black voices and top talent;
  • Pam Grier’s Soul Flix is a channel with a curated collection of classic Black cinema.
  • Outlaw, a channel for fans of Westerns like Unforgiven and Wyatt Earp.

If you enjoy international intrigue and crime stories, you can now watch Spooks (MI-5), the long-running British spy series, and Real Crime Uncovered.

These new channels are aimed at viewers who like ongoing, high-stakes drama. They add more variety to a lineup that used to focus mostly on lifestyle and home renovation shows.

The channels will be available for paid subscribers

Although the free tier is the big news, these channels are also being added to Philo’s paid subscriptions, including the $25 Essential plan and the $33 Bundle+ tier.

This means paying customers get even more content, along with premium networks like AMC, HGTV, and Hallmark.

By offering both free and paid options, Philo hopes users will start with the free service and later upgrade for extra features.

Unlike many other services that ask for a credit card to start a trial, Philo’s free tier is open to everyone. You can start watching right away on the Philo app using your smart TV, tablet, or phone, without needing to enter any payment details.
