BBC Morning Live presenters in 2026: Who’s on the show?

The BBC Morning Live sofa features some of the most trusted presenters in daytime British television. 

Mainstay hosts Michelle Ackerley, Gethin Jones, and Helen Skelton are a staple for the morning daytime magazine program on BBC One. The show also features a rotating roster of relief presenters, including Sara Cox, Kimberley Walsh, and Gaby Roslin. 

Below, we have compiled a detailed list of all the presenters on the BBC Morning Live lineup in 2026, with some interesting facts about their careers and personal lives. 

1. Gethin Jones

Gethin Jones is one of the main BBC Morning Live presenters, a role he has held since the program launched in 2020. He primarily co-hosts the show alongside Michelle Ackerley and Helen Skelton 

Jones, who is of Welsh descent, began his media career with the Welsh channel S4C before joining the BBC as the host of Blue Peter. He then went on to work for other BBC outfits, Virgin 1, Sky, ITV, and more before joining Morning Live. 

Jones has appeared in films and TV shows, both in cameos and acting roles, and participated in reality shows like Strictly Come Dancing. He also served as Chef de Mission for the Welsh team at the 2026 Commonwealth Games during a break from Morning Live.

2. Michelle Ackerley

Michelle Ackerley has served as one of the main hosts of BBC Morning Live since 2024. In addition to her role on the show, she presents other BBC programs, including Crimewatch Live and televised coverage of The World’s Strongest Man competition. 

Ackerley joined the BBC as a programme maker before landing an on-air role on CBBC. Since then, she has presented several shows for the BBC, including The One Show, Watchdog Test House, Panorama, Fraud Squad, and more.

Beyond the BBC, she has also worked for Channel 4, UKTV, Channel 5, and even ITV, where she presented two episodes of Loose Women

3. Helen Skelton

Helen Skelton is another primary Morning Live presenter. She initially joined the programme as a guest presenter before the BBC promoted her to a permanent role in 2024. 

Skelton started her career in public relations before moving to broadcasting, working at CFM Radio and BBC Radio Columbia. In 2008, she became the host of Blue Peter on CBBC. 

She has since presented various BBC programs, including Countryfile, Strictly Come Dancing, and the Olympic Games, while also hosting shows on BBC Radio 5 Live. Additionally, Skelton has worked as a women’s football presenter for BT Sport and guest-hosted Lorraine on ITV.

As of August 2026, Skelton is rumored to be in the running to replace Naga Munchetty, who is leaving BBC Breakfast in December 2026.

4. Sara Cox

Sara Cox is one of the regular relief presenters on BBC Morning Live. However, as of July 2026, her schedule on the show has changed significantly after she became the permanent host of the Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2. 

Cox worked as a model before switching to a career in media as a co-presenter on Channel 4’s The Girlies Show. She then joined BBC Radio 1 in 1999, and hosted several programmes for years before moving to BBC Radio 2. 

Sara Cox has presented TV programmes on BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, and ITV. She is also an author of two novels and a memoir released in 2019.

5. Kym Marsh

Kym Marsh is an English TV presenter, actress, and singer, best known for her roles in British soap operas such as Coronation Street and Hollyoaks. She is also one of the regular guest presenters on Morning Live. 

Marsh balances her role on BBC Morning Live with her acting commitments, including her recent appearance in the stage play Single White Female and TV shows Waterloo Road and The Imposter (2025).

Besides acting, Marsh has also served as a presenter on other shows, including Loose Women, The One Show, For Love or Money, and The Weekend Travel Show. 

6. Gaby Roslin

Gaby Roslin is a British TV and radio presenter best known for presenting ITV’s Motormouth, Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast, and the BBC’s Children in Need. She also serves as a guest presenter on Morning Live. 

Roslin also hosts several other programs, including Magic Radio Saturday Mornings, Gaby’s Talking Pictures for BBC Radio 4, a Sunday afternoon chat show for BBC Radio London, and the Reasons to be Joyful podcast. 

Gaby Roslin is also the national presenter for The Make a Difference Show, which broadcasts across BBC Local radios every Sunday. 

7. Kimberley Walsh

Kimberley Walsh (also known as Kimberley Jane Scott) is a British singer, dancer, actress, and TV presenter. She is also one of the guest hosts on BBC Morning Live, having been a fixture on the show since 2022. 

Walsh began her career as a singer and was a member of the Girls Aloud group. She then transitioned to TV presenting, with roles on MTV, The X Factor, Channel 4, Channel 5, and ITV, before her current BBC role. 

Walsh has also appeared as an actress in several films and TV shows, including Coronation Street, Channel 4’s Ackley Bridge, and Horrid Henry: The Movie. 

8. Xand Van Tulleken

Xand van Tulleken is a British doctor and TV presenter who specializes in public and global health. He is also a regular fixture on BBC Morning Live, where he presents health and consumer safety segments and serves as the show’s lead resident doctor.

In addition to BBC Morning Live, Tulleken also hosts the CBBC medical entertainment show, Operation Ouch! Alongside his twin brother, Dr. Chris Van Tulleken. He also co-hosts What’s Up Docs?, a health and science show on BBC Radio 4. 

Tulleken is also a medical author and has co-written two Operation Ouch books with his twin brother, Dr. Chris Tulleken. He is also set to release another book, Make Me Well, in September 2026. 

9. Greg Rutherford

Greg Rutherford is a retired British track and field athlete who won a long jump gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics. Since retiring, he has ventured into media and is now a regular host on BBC Morning Live

Rutherford primarily co-hosts health and fitness segments of Morning Live. He also serves as a sports expert for the show, offering insights on major sporting events, such as the Olympics. 

Besides Morning Live, Rutherford has appeared in several other TV and entertainment programs, including Channel 4’s Time Crashers, Strictly Come Dancing (as a contestant), and Celebrity MasterChef. He has also covered sporting events for Eurosport and Discovery+.

10. Louise Minchin

Louise Minchin is a British journalist and TV presenter who currently freelances with the BBC. She is one of the regular guest hosts of Morning Live, having appeared on the show since 2025. 

Minchin started her career with BBC World Service and later worked for BBC News and BBC Radio 5 Live. From 2001, she appeared on BBC Breakfast as a regular fill-in presenter, before becoming a main presenter in 2012. 

She hosted BBC Breakfast until 2021, when she stepped down to focus on other interests. She returned to on-air roles in 2025 as a co-presenter of BBC’s Rip Off Britain.   

11. Janette Manrara

Janette Manrara is another presenter on the BBC One morning show lineup in 2026. She currently co-hosts the program alongside core presenters like Gethin Jones and occasionally fronts home fitness and workout segments, such as the popular #StrictlyFitness workout. 

Manrara, a professional dancer, became famous for appearing on reality TV shows So You Think You Can Dance and Strictly Come Dancing. She also hosted Strictly Come Dancing’s spin-off show, Strictly: It Takes Two. 

However, in June 2026, she announced that she had left the Strictly Come Dancing franchise after 14 years.
