If you followed Double Date Island last year, your viewing habit needs to change this time.
The new season is being made for TikTok first, and TikTok is the only public home named for the full season this summer.

This is not another cross-platform promo where the polished episodes turn up on YouTube later. As announced, the full season is tied to TikTok.
In 2025, Double Date Island was a creator-led campaign set in Ibiza. It rolled out across TikTok, Instagram TV, YouTube, and BeReal, and the more produced episodes landed on Tinder’s YouTube pages the following week. In 2026, the show is being rebuilt as a TikTok-first season instead of a wider social campaign with YouTube acting as the tidy home for the full episodes.
This season looks bigger, but also more focused
The new version keeps the same basic idea. Best-friend pairs are brought together for double dates.
This time, the cast is meant to come from various countries. This includes the United States, Brazil, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany.
The season is being produced with ITV Studios-linked teams, and host talent is also expected to join the island.
What you are actually getting on TikTok
The most useful thing to know is that this is a full-season move, not just a clip strategy. Last year, TikTok was one stop in its campaign. This year, TikTok is the main screen.
The format is being created around how people watch on TikTok. This is short-form discovery, creator-led conversation, and quick follow-up after each moment lands. The official materials still have not given a public episode count or a clear release pattern, so you should not expect a normal TV calendar yet.
The show is tied to a real Tinder feature
The whole format grows out of Tinder’s Double Date feature. In the app, that feature lets you team up with a friend. You could swipe on other pairs and open a group chat when there is a match.
This feature works on Android, iOS, and web in select markets. Some paid Tinder perks do not work with it.
That also helps explain why the show is framed around pairs instead of solo contestants. The setup is meant to feel less tense and less one-on-one. You arrive with your friend, meet other pairs, and go through dates, group moments, and challenges together.
If you wanted to apply, the window is short
This is also not one of those projects where casting drags on for months. The current call opened on June 22 and closes on June 28. To get in, both people in the pair need to be genuinely single. You also need to be between 18 and 30, have a verified Tinder account, and have a Double Date profile together.
The application starts inside Tinder by swiping right on the casting card in your stack.
