TCL Rolls Out Google TV With Gemini in Europe, Starting With Several Models

If you are shopping for a new TCL TV in Europe, this update gives you a clearer reason to care about Google TV again.

TCL has started rolling out Google TV with Gemini in Europe, with the UK first and other European markets following later in 2026.

That does not mean every TCL TV in Europe suddenly gets the same AI features at the same time. It means several of TCL’s newer premium models are now the front line for Google’s TV push in Europe.

Which TCL TVs get Gemini first in Europe?

The first European wave is centered on TCL’s higher-end 2026 models. The rollout is focused on the following lines:

  • X11L
  • C8L
  • C7L
  • RM9L
  • RM7L

What does the TCL Gemini roll-out change on your TV?

The main transformation is how you talk to your TV.

Previously, you would use short, stiff commands. Now, you will be able to ask in a more natural way. You could describe the kind of film or show you want. You could also ask follow-up questions. The integration will look for sports updates, quick explainers, recipe videos, or general answers on the big screen.

That sounds small, but it fixes a real problem. A lot of smart TV search still feels clumsy. You often need the exact title, the right app, or the right menu path. Gemini is trying to remove some of that friction.

On these Google TVs, the upgrade is not only about finding something to watch. It also pushes the TV closer to becoming a simple smart home screen. You can use voice commands for connected home tasks, ask for information, and handle more day-to-day actions without bouncing between apps and menus.

Should you buy one of these TVs for Gemini alone?

We do not recommend basing your decision on this only.

You should buy the TV for the panel, brightness, size, gaming features, and price first. Gemini should be the extra reason, not the only reason.

That is especially true because TCL’s 2026 range already gives you real differences between models.

The C7L looks like the more affordable step into TCL’s premium push. The C8L is the more serious upgrade if you want more brightness and a stronger overall spec.

Their X11L is the flagship choice if you want TCL’s most ambitious screen. The RM7L and RM9L add TCL’s RGB Mini LED angle, which matters if you are comparing TCL’s different picture technologies rather than just looking for “a smart TV with AI.”

In the UK, TCL’s C7L and C8L ranges launch at aggressive prices for their class, which helps the story a lot. The AI becomes more interesting when it comes with a TV that already looks competitively priced.
