YouTube and NBCUniversal have announced a new streaming partnership that will change how people watch online video. Beginning in early 2027, YouTube Premium and Peacock will join forces, letting subscribers access Peacock’s full catalog through their YouTube account at no extra cost.
If you use either platform to watch creator vlogs, TV shows, or live sports, this new setup will add a lot of value to your daily streaming.

Instead of paying for several monthly services and switching between apps, you will get both platforms in one plan. Anyone with a standard YouTube Premium subscription in the United States will get access to Peacock’s content without an increase in their monthly bill.
What does Peacock bring to YouTube Premium?
When this combined service launches, you will have instant access to a huge library of Hollywood TV shows and movies, all within the YouTube app. You can finish a creator’s vlog, tap a tab, and start watching a movie or live TV show right away.
You will get next-day access to new episodes from NBC and Bravo, along with full seasons of favorites like The Office, Parks and Recreation, Law & Order: SVU, and Saturday Night Live. Reality shows like Love Island USA and The Traitors are included too.
You will be able to stream major live sports as they happen, including NFL Sunday Night Football, NBA and WNBA games, Premier League soccer, Big Ten college football, and the Kentucky Derby.
Universal Pictures will bring its large movie lineup straight to your feed, so you can stream new releases soon after they leave theaters.
You will keep all your current YouTube Premium perks, like ad-free videos, background playback, offline downloads, and unlimited streaming on YouTube Music.
How the YouTube Premium and Peacock deal will save you money

The main benefit for most subscribers is the money saved each month. Currently, YouTube Premium costs $15.99 per month, and a separate Peacock plan is about $10.99 per month.
Paying for both services separately means spending almost $27 each month, which adds up to over $320 a year for just these two platforms.
Combining both services into one $15.99 plan removes the extra charge, saving you over $130 each year. At a time when most apps keep raising prices, getting more content for the same price is a real help for your budget.
How the deal will eliminate app fatigue
Besides saving money, this new setup helps with the problem of “app fatigue.” Many households switch between several apps each night, trying to remember passwords, keep track of billing dates, and search different menus just to find something to watch.
With this combined plan, you will find user videos, viral clips, live sports, and Hollywood movies all in one familiar place. You will have one login, one monthly bill, and everything you want to watch in one spot.
What you can do right now
Since the full integration is coming in early 2027, you do not need to change anything with your accounts right now. In the next few months, NBCUniversal and YouTube will introduce smaller features like preview channels and shared playlists to get ready for the main launch.
If you already subscribe to both platforms, watch for account updates as 2027 gets closer. When the full service launches, you can cancel your separate Peacock plan and enjoy all your favorite movies, sports, and creator videos in your YouTube account.
