Sky Sports is now the UK rights holder to the Women’s World Sevens Football tournament. You will be able to follow every match live on their platforms without requiring any other subscription.
The tournament runs from May 28 to May 30, 2026, at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium. All matches will also be available on NOW.

Below is what you need to know:
What Sky Sports is actually getting
Sky Sports is taking every match from the London edition of World Sevens Football, also known as W7F.
It will be treating the tournament like a proper live event with presenters and on-site coverage. That gives the competition more visibility right away, especially because it is the first time W7F will be held in England.
The timing matters too. Women’s football already has substantial momentum in the UK. Sky is clearly trying to build on that rather than wait for another league season to begin.
What W7F is and why it looks different
W7F is a seven-a-side women’s club football series. It is not full 11-a-side football. It is not a national-team tournament either.
Its matches are 7v7, played on a half-sized pitch, and each match lasts 30 minutes. The format also uses rolling substitutions and no offside rule. These should create more direct attacking play, more chances, and less stoppage than a normal full match.
Why the London edition matters
This is the third W7F tournament. However, it is the first one on English soil.
The series debuted in Estoril, Portugal, in May 2025. Bayern Munich won the title.
The second event took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in December 2025. Here, San Diego Wave FC won. So by the time Sky starts showing the London edition, W7F will already have two completed tournaments behind it.
Bringing the event to Brentford gives you, as a fan, a home edition tied closely to the English women’s game. That makes Sky’s involvement more logical, because the broadcaster is not just buying a foreign event. It is putting a new women’s football property in front of people like you who already follow the WSL closely.
Which teams are in it
Sky and W7F say the London tournament will feature eight clubs, with six confirmed so far and two more still to be announced. The confirmed clubs are:
- Aston Villa Women
- Everton Wome
- Manchester United Women
- London City Lionesses
- Tottenham Hotspur Women
- West Ham United Women
What the schedule looks like
Thursday and Friday will each feature six matches. All eight clubs will be in action across those two days. On Saturdays, you will have the semi-finals and final.
So, the early part of the tournament is packed with back-to-back games. The final knockout matches are more spread out.
