Selling Sunset is returning to Netflix for its tenth season soon, but it has been hit with a major shakeup after several cast members left the show. The exits include original cast members like Chrishell Stause and Mary Bonnet, and other major stars like Emma Hernan and Alana Gold.
Cast members Christine Quinn, Heather Rae El Moussa, and Maya Vander have also exited the show in previous seasons. However, fans of the hit Netflix series will be pleased to know that some of the stars who previously left are returning in season 10.

Selling Sunset cast members who left or won’t return for season 10
Season 10 of Selling Sunset will have major cast changes, with seven stars not returning to the show. Below is a look at all the stars who have left, and the reasons for their departures:
1. Chrishell Stause

Chrishell Stause is a luxury real estate agent and one of the original cast members, having been with the show since season 1. However, in November 2025, she announced that she was quitting the show after the Selling Sunset Season 9 reunion.
So, why did Chrishell Stause leave Selling Sunset?
In an interview with Bustle, Stause confessed she was leaving because the show’s drama and toxic environment were no longer good for her mental health. She also revealed that she had achieved financial independence that made it possible for her to walk away.
2. Nicole Young

Nicole Young is another Selling Sunset cast member who has left the show ahead of season 10. She joined the reality TV series in season 6 and immediately clashed with several other stars, including Chrishell Stause.
She was also involved in a heated argument with Stause during the season 9 premiere. Consequently, this led to her being asked to leave the office of The Oppenheim Group, the luxury real estate brokerage at the center of the Netflix series.
Following the Season 9 premiere argument, Young announced that she was moving to Nashville with her husband. According to People, her representative has confirmed she will not be returning to the show, citing toxic portrayal and mischaracterization.
3. Mary Bonnet

Mary Bonnet is another original cast member who featured prominently on the show from season 1 to 9. She also serves as the Vice President of The Oppenheim Group.
Despite her role in the luxury brokerage firm, Bonnet has left the series. According to a TMZ report, she is one of the several cast members fired ahead of Season 10 after their contracts were not renewed.
However, in an interview with People, Bonnet denied that she was cut from the show and revealed she was leaving because she was unhappy with the direction the series was taking. She also clarified that she was keeping her off-screen job with the real estate brokerage.
4. Alanna Gold

Alanna Gold was one of the latest additions to the Selling Sunset cast, joining the show in season 8. She quickly became one of the standout stars due to a controversial storyline involving Pioneertown in California.
Gold, who has only been on the show for two seasons, will not be returning for season 10. In a video shared on Instagram, she revealed that she was leaving to focus on other priorities in her life, namely her real estate career, a business venture, and her mental health.
5. Emma Hernan

Emma Hernanan is a luxury real estate agent and businesswoman who joined the cast of the Netflix series in season 6. She is one of the stars whom TMZ claimed had been cut from the show ahead of season 10.
However, like many other cast members who have left the show, she has denied being fired. So, why did Emma Hernan leave Selling Sunset?
In a post shared on Instagram, she claimed she was leaving the hit Netflix series because she was not living full time in Los Angeles and also wanted to focus on her business and relationship.
6. Chelsea Lazkani

Chelsea Lazkani joined Selling Sunset in season 5 and quickly established herself as a main figure, both in The Oppenheim Group’s high-stakes property deals and the office drama. Fans of the show will be sad to hear that she is one of the cast members not returning for season 10.
Lazkani is one of the stars who are rumored to have been cut from the show. Unlike her co-stars, she has not publicly responded to the claims that she has been fired from the show.
7. Sandra Vergara

Sandra Vergara, the cousin and adoptive sister of Sofia Vergara, is another Selling Sunset cast member not returning for Season 10. She joined the Netflix show in Season 9, seeking to transition her career into luxury real estate.
Vergara is another star who TMZ claimed was fired from the show. In an interview with the TMZ Podcast, she did not deny being cut from the show, but instead said, “I’m not that sad about it.”
She also added that her one season on the show was “toxic and chaotic” and that another opportunity had come up around the same time season 10 would be shooting.
Past Selling Sunset cast departures
In addition to the above cast members who have left Selling Sunset ahead of season 10, the Netflix show has experienced other departures over the seasons. These include:
1. Christine Quinn

Christine Quinn was an original Selling Sunset cast member. She left the show in season 5 after she terminated her realtor contract with The Oppenheim Group to focus on her crypto real estate venture, RealOpen.
Before leaving the show, she was also at the centre of several intense on-screen clashes with some of her co-stars.
Netflix has since confirmed that Christine Quinn is returning for the upcoming tenth season, after being absent from the show for four seasons.
2. Heather Rae El Moussa

Heather Rae El Moussa is another original Selling Sunset cast member, and a prominent presence up until season 6. During season 7, she temporarily stepped away from the series for maternity leave, and the show’s producers did not ask her to return for season 8.
After leaving the show, she focused on other projects, such as the renovation show, The Flipping El Moussas, alongside her husband. She will return for season 10 alongside Christine Quinn.
3. Maya Vander

Maya Vander is an Israeli-born entrepreneur and luxury real estate agent. She was an original cast member on Selling Sunset, famous for staying out of the office drama.
Vander was the first main cast member to exit the show, leaving in season 5. She left to focus on her real estate business, The Maya Vander Group, and her family, who were in Miami.
4. Davina Potratz

Davina Potratz is a former model turned luxury real estate agent. She joined the hit Netflix show in season 1 as a recurring cast member, before becoming a main presence on the show between seasons 2 and 5.
Potratz was quietly dropped from the show in season 7 after her on-screen time was drastically reduced from season 5. No official reason has been provided for her exit, but fans speculate that producers may have pushed her out.
5. Vanessa Villela

Vanessa Villela is an actress and luxury real estate agent, best known for appearing in several telenovelas and Selling Sunset. She is another cast member with a short stint on the Netflix series, appearing only in seasons 4 and 5.
Villela left the show after season 5 following her move to The Agency, a rival brokerage to The Oppenheim Group. The move was driven by her desire to prioritize her real estate career.
