Emily in Paris on Netflix, which premiered in October 2020, is set to end with the sixth and final season.
According to Netflix, Emily in Paris’s executive producer, writer, and creator, Darren Star, acknowledged that working with the cast and crew of the show was tremendous, and he is looking forward to releasing the final episode.
“Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime. As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us,” Star stated.
“We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris,” he added.
Additionally, Lily Collins, who plays Emily Cooper, stated that the cast and crew are enthusiastic about delivering the final season to their fans in a spectacular way.
“After six unforgettable years of playing Emily Cooper, I’m here to share that this upcoming sixth season will be our final. It will bring you everything you love about the show and serves as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime,” she said.
“Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season, which we are now filming. I can’t wait for all of the magic ahead and to celebrate our final season with you in the most chic way yet,” she added.
What is Emily in Paris about?
The series follows a marketing executive from Chicago, Emily Cooper, who becomes stuck in Paris after being hired to offer her American perspective for a French firm, Savoir. She then works in Rome and Venice.
Apart from Cooper, other cast members include Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu portraying Sylvie Grateau, Lucan Bravo portraying Gabriel, and William Abadie portraying Antoine Lambert.
To add to that, Samuel Arnold portrays Julien, and Ashley Park portrays Mindy Chen. Nicolas de Leon is played by Paul Forman, and Marcello is played by Eugenio Franceschini.
When is Emily in Paris, season 6, premiering?
Netflix confirmed that the sixth season of Emily in Paris will premiere sometime in 2026, though it has yet to issue the release date of the much-anticipated season.
However, Netflix announced that the filming had begun, sharing a peek into the upcoming season with some behind-the-scenes photos of Darren Star and Colin on set.
Furthermore, it announced that the filming is in Greece, the first stop; Monaco; and then back to the city where it all began, Paris.
What should fans expect in Emily in Paris Season 6?
According to Netflix, Emily in Paris Season 6 will continue Season 5’s storyline, in which Emily went on a Roman holiday and got involved romantically with Italian cashmere heir Marcello before realising that she wanted to go back to Paris.
On the other hand, her best friend, Mindy, got engaged to her fashion designer, Nicolas de Leon, but has a soft spot for Alfie.
Emily in Paris, Season 5, has ranked among the top spots on Netflix’s global English TV list with up to 250 million views, with the number expected to grow ahead of the grand finale.
