What happened to Carol, the BBC weather girl?

Carol Kirkwood is well known for her long-standing presence at the BBC as a weather presenter. She has worked there since 1998.

Her unannounced absence over the last few days has sparked questions about her whereabouts after her colleague Matt Taylor announced he would fill in for her.

Matt took to X to inform his audience he would be on their screens for BBC Breakfast weather updates for the next three weeks.

Carol’s reaction to Matt taking her place

In the comments, Carol confirmed she was well and taking a well-deserved break to rejuvenate. The break seems to be doing the popular presenter well as she tours various places.

She has been sharing updates on her social media platforms. She shared photos of herself attending “Mamma Mia! The Party” at The O2 in London, where she enjoyed a night filled with music and entertainment.

There has been no news on her health; therefore, fans can rest assured that she is healthy and enjoying life with her husband.

Besides her work on BBC Breakfast, Carol Kirkwood has been busy with her writing career.

She recently released her fourth romance novel, Once Upon a Time in Venice, which continues to showcase her talent beyond weather forecasting.
