He attended Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida, where he developed his artistic talents.

He Won the First Season of HGTV Design Star

Bromstad had his breakthrough after participating in the first season of HGTV’s Design Star. The reality show featured upcoming designers competing for a chance to host their own show on HGTV.

His lovely designs won him the contest against nine other designers, and thus, he landed an HGTV program called Color Splash.

As a result of this achievement, he started a successful TV career on HGTV, hosting other shows such as The Beach Flip and My Lottery Dream Home.
