Spectrum error HL1000: Currently unavailable. Try again -Fix!

If you are a Spectrum user you are probably familiar with the phrase Spectrum error code. This is usually a notification to show a malfunction on your system. Error codes on the Spectrum differ a lot. One popular one is the HL1000 error.

Error HL1000 is usually accompanied by the message “currently unavailable. Please try again later.” The error interrupts your streaming and it is compulsory you fix it before you can continue to watch TV.

There are several reasons that can cause this error. The main cause is due to a wrong startup attempt of the system. Another reason for this error could be an incomplete Video-on-demand order.

Whatever the cause for the error, the good news is that you can fix the HL 1000 error code by following these steps:

Method 1: Refresh the Spectrum receiver.

This is usually standard practice for all errors. It helps to clear logs and temporary bugs on the cache.

There are a few steps you should go through to refresh the Spectrum receiver.

  1. Log in to the official Spectrum website
  2. Enter your username and password
  3. On the menu shown, find the equipment section
  4. Finally, select’ refresh your equipment’ to refresh your Spectrum receiver.

This should allow the receiver to re-establish the connection.

Method 2: Reset data on your receiver

  1. On your remote tap the menu button.
  2. You have to then navigate to the ‘setting and support’ tab.

  6. Use the arrow buttons to move to the Reset data area and select it by pressing okay.

Method 3: Reinstall the app

A simple reinstallation may be able to solve your Spectrum problem.  This will work differently depending on where it is being applied.

For devices like Roku and Smart TVs, the set-up process will also include activation of the device via an activation code.

However, on mobile devices, you can simply uninstall and head to your app store and redownload.

The Refresh app has to be customized from the preferences to all the other aspects.

Since this has been an issue for us for YEARS now and we have On Demand approximately one day out of every six to eight months with no real resolution, I am thinking it will be better to stream and ditch paying for something I’m not getting. The most advice we have gotten was to go and purchase a new box which took hours out of our day. It solved the problem for literally several days and then back to the same, tired old issue with no resolution. Just easier to walk away than spend hours on the phone, hours on the net trying to find solutions that might work, and frustrating time trying to find the answer n their web site. Nothing has worked and no one cares.

  2. We are paying a premium fee for “premium service.” I am not sure why I continue to have problems with this service. I continually have to reboot. Now I have an error in On Demand. Thinking I have to find an easier, less expensive way to enjoy my tv.
