What is included in the Discovery+ offer for Spectrum TV?
Charter Communications’ Spectrum and Warner Bros. Discovery have teamed up to include the $5.99 per month ad-supported Discovery+ plan with certain Spectrum TV packages.
If you have TV Select Signature, TV Select Plus, TV Platinum, or another higher-tier plan, you qualify. If not, you can still buy Discovery+ separately in the Spectrum App Store.
How does this Discovery+ deal benefit Spectrum TV customers?
With streaming prices going up, this deal gives real savings. If you qualify, you get instant access to over 70,000 episodes from HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet, and Magnolia Network, without paying the extra $5.99 subscription.
Some of the most popular shows are “90 Day Fiancé,” “House Hunters,” “Chopped,” “1000-Lb Sisters,” “Gold Rush,” “Ghost Adventures,” and “Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines.”
Spectrum calls this part of its Seamless Entertainment experience, which brings together regular cable TV and streaming apps. The bundle now offers over $125 a month in streaming value, including Disney+/Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, Max (HBO), Paramount+, Peacock, AMC+, and more.
Some viewers already get Discovery shows through Max, which is also included with Spectrum. But Discovery+ has a bigger library, like full seasons of “Chopped” that aren’t all on Max. This helps solve the problem of shows being split across different apps.
