Roku has signed a new distribution deal with Fox Corporation to add FOX One as a standalone premium subscription on The Roku Channel.
Starting this week, viewers in the United States can skip traditional pay-TV bundles and watch FOX’s main live broadcasts, sports, and news directly through their Roku dashboard.

This convenience comes at a cost since the new service is priced at $19.99 per month.
What is Fox One bringing to The Roku Channel?
The timing of this deal is strategic. It makes FOX One on The Roku Channel the main official English-language streaming option for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026.
Subscribers will be able to watch all 104 tournament matches live or on demand. For soccer fans who want to avoid expensive $70-plus live TV bundles, this standalone premium channel is a more affordable option.
What other content does Fox One premium offer?

The subscription includes more than just live sports. Subscribers also get real-time access to national and local news from FOX News, FOX Business, FOX Weather, and regional FOX stations.
Sports networks like FS1, FS2, and the Big Ten Network are included. Subscribers will also access on-demand episodes of popular shows like MasterChef, Doc, and Family Guy.
Roku is offering a 3-day free trial for eligible accounts so people can try the service before paying. The free trial will encourage new users to sign up.
How to access Fox One on The Roku Channel
The integration makes streaming simpler. Users do not need to download a separate app, create a new profile, or enter new billing details. The channel is available in the premium hub.
People can subscribe using their existing Roku account. They can browse content, change their membership, or cancel the plan in the device settings or on the main website, without dealing with multiple payment accounts.
Live content from the subscription will also show up automatically in Roku’s existing discovery features. Games, pre-game commentary, and live tournament brackets will appear right in the Roku Sports Zone and the Soccer Zone search areas.
The aim is to stop people from having to jump between apps to find live broadcasts. Bringing major sports and local news into one dashboard makes watching TV easier for everyone at home.
Buying FOX One on The Roku Channel is definitely convenient. However, the $19.99 monthly price shows a trend that frustrates many people today: the growing total cost of streaming after cable.
