Plex just added 5 new free Live TV channels

Plex recently added five new free channels to its live TV lineup. You do not need a credit card, subscription, or paid membership to watch them.

Just open the app and browse the guide to start watching these new free live TV channels on Plex.

This surprise update is great news for regular Plex users. Recently, the company upset many longtime tech fans by announcing that its lifetime “Plex Pass” subscription will increase to $750 in July.

Luckily, this price increase only affects advanced users who run their own home media servers. For everyone else who just wants to watch TV, Plex’s large library of free, ad-supported channels is still available and even growing.

Plex has added more features to its app

Along with these new channels, Plex is adding features to help you find something to watch more quickly. Now, you can use Plex more like a social media app for TV instead of scrolling through endless menus.

The app now lets you see what your friends are watching, share your watchlists, rate movies, and chat with other fans about your favorite episodes.
