The highly anticipated Korean drama Parasyte: The Grey is on Netflix screens.
The series will bring to life a live-action, horror-filled adaptation of the Japanese manga Parasyte.
The series promises viewers chilling scenes of confrontation with parasites. It also features prominent actors, especially from the K-drama world.
Below is a look at these stars and everything you need to know about them.
1. Jeon So-nee (Jeon Su-in)
Actress Jeon So-nee is a South Korean actress who plays Jeon Su-in in Parasyte: The Grey. Like many other human beings in the world, Su-in is infected with an unknown parasite that takes over people’s bodies, making them do evil things (like killing) against their will.
However, Su-in is special in that she resists the parasite’s control and forms a symbiotic relationship with it; the parasite even saves her life after she is attacked and left for dead.
However, that victory is short-lived as she is soon targeted by a ruthless team of parasite hunters, The Grey.
Parasyte: The Grey is one of the top major roles for Jeon So-nee. However, she has also won the hearts of many fans in the past with her roles in Korean dramas like Encounter and When My Love Blooms.
2. Koo Kyo-hwan (Seol Kang-woo)
Ko Kyo-hwan plays Seol Kang-woo, a shady member of a criminal gang. He is on a mission to kill the leader of a rival gang, but he is unable to do so, causing him to flee and return to his childhood home.
When he returns home, Kyo-hwan finds his older sister acting strangely and his younger sister missing. He embarks on a search for his younger sister, which causes him to cross paths with and become a close ally of Jeon Su-in.
Besides Parasyte: The Grey, Kyo-hwan has started in another Netflix Korean drama, D.P.
He has also played several roles in other Korean dramas and films, such as Monstrous (2023), Kingdom: Ashin of the North (2021), Seeking the King (2024), Escape from Mogadishu (2021), and Jane (2017).

Kim In-kwon is famous for his supporting roles in Korean films and dramas like Surgeon Bong Dal-hee (2007), He’s on Duty (2010), My Way (2011), Almost Che (2012), and The Divine Move (2014).
