Taylor Sheridan’s Lioness (also known as Special Ops: Lioness) is one of the hottest Paramount+ shows. The American spy thriller TV series follows Joe (Zoe Saldana), a CIA agent who wages the war on terror using undercover female operatives known as lionesses.

Season 1 saw the lioness Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira) fall in love with her target daughter, Aaliyah (Stephanie Nur), in a doomed relationship that reached a tragic end when Cruz killed Aaliyah’s father and her fiancé the night before her wedding.

In season 2, Joe moves closer home, and her focus is the American/Mexican border, specifically Mexican cartels. She also recruits a new lioness, Captain Josephina Carrillo (Genesis Rodriguez).

And in what promises to be yet another exciting and suspenseful season of the lioness, one of Joe’s targets is Carillo’s uncle, the leader of a Mexican cartel involved in the kidnapping of an American congresswoman.

Despite her age and previous success in younger years, Matty is happy to start at the bottom, working alongside junior and much younger colleagues. Her unassuming demeanor and willy tactics soon prove to be a huge asset in winning cases.
