Are you waiting for Kill Bill Vol. 3? Then save face and stop wasting time, because the film will not happen.
Quentin Tarantino announced that his tenth film would be his last before retiring. Fans speculated that Kill Bill Vol. 3 would be the final movie he directed.
However, the acclaimed American filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, and actor announced that The Movie Critic would be his tenth and final film.
Will there be a trilogy?
During an appearance on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, Tarantino clarified that Kill Bill was not meant to be a trilogy.
Kill Bill: Volume 1 was released in 2003 and starred Uma Thurman in the memorable role of The Bride in the iconic martial arts film series. The film was followed by Kill Bill: Volume 2 in 2004.
The films are based on a trail of vengeance as the Bride hunts down her former fellow assassins and Bill (portrayed by the late David Carradine), who turned on her after she left the group to raise her unborn child.
What fueled speculations for Kill Bill 3?
While on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast in 2021, Tarantino discussed what a potential Kill Bill: Volume 3 would entail.
He mentioned he would love to bring back Uma Thurman as the Bride alongside her real daughter Maya Hawke for the role of B.B.
These remarks gave fans hope that they might get a third film from the decorated producer.
Potential Plotline
Fans believed that Vol. 3 would pick up the narrative of Beatrix “The Bride” Kiddo (Uma Thurman) and her daughter B.B., who are on the run.
We could have witnessed the vengeful retaliation of Nikki Bell (Ambrosia Kelley), who was just a child when she witnessed the murder of her mother, Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox), at the hands – of The Bride.
Unfortunately, we won’t be getting what we want, but to paraphrase Tarantino’s words, Bill died at the end, so the films achieved the end goal.
You can watch Kill Bill Vol. 1 on Netflix.
