Is After Everything (2023) the last movie in the series?

It has been confirmed that After Everything will be the final film in the After series.

The After film series is based on Anna Todd’s novels and includes After (2019), After We Collided (2020), After We Fell (2021), After Ever Happy (2022), and After Everything (2023).

It follows the lives of Tessa and Hardin, two young people and their relationship over different life stages.

Film details and fan reactions

After Everything was released in cinemas on September 13, 2023. It concluded the final story of Tessa and Hardin. However, the film is entirely based on Hardin’s point of view as he works to make amends for his past actions.

Previous films split between Tessa’s and Hardin’s points of view but mostly focused on Tessa’s story. Tessa, played by Josephine Langford, appears only briefly in the film.

Most fans of the series did not like her brief appearance, as they felt that she should have had more airplay. They were also dissatisfied with the ending and claimed it was rushed.

Complaints that parts of Tessa and Hardin’s major life events were skipped also emerged after the film was aired.
