The hardest part of finding your forever after is the dating part. Many people lie about who they are when they meet in person.
If you are dating online, you will likely experience even more dishonesty. That happened to Nev and led to the creation of the show Catfish.

We have all had a bad dating experience online but the best part about these choices is getting to laugh at ourselves.
Catfish features the stories of people dating online and their experiences. In this post, find the funniest episodes and laugh with and at the people involved.
1. Spencer and Katy (S5 E15)
This is the funniest and weirdest episode on Catfish. In this episode, Nev talks to Spencer, who has had a relationship with a lady he believes is Katy Perry, the pop star.
He has been in the relationship for 6 years and has even made her an engagement ring he will give her when they meet. Unlike in other episodes where it is difficult to tell the truth from the lies, here it is clear that the guy is being catfished.
Spencer, is, however, convinced he is dating Katy Perry and even claims that they have spoken on the phone. The phone number he has, however, is Canadian, which Katy gave him while she was on tour there.

He even claims she sends him videos of songs before they are even released, but those are YouTube videos that have already been deleted. Research shows that Katy lives in England, and her name is Harriet.
They travel to England, and Amy, Harriet’s ex, helps them contact her. Harriet/Katy comes to the hotel and tells Spencer she lied, but he holds on that the person he had been talking to is Katy Perry.
He is also disappointed that Harriet is not as excited to meet him as this charming guy expected. Spencer believes he is being punked because Katy would “think that’s funny” and expects he will meet her soon. Dating is hard, guys.
2. Tyler and Amanda (S1 E7)

The first season has some great episodes, including episode 7, Tyler and Amanda. Tyler is a college guy who has been talking to a girl he met online, Amanda.
He is good-looking and athletic, so many girls at his college would love to be with him, but he thinks they are fake. Tyler believes Amanda is real and down to earth and would love to make things official.
Tyler contacts Catfish because Amanda does not accept phone or Skype calls, which seems suspicious. Nev is hopeful that they find the girl of his dreams, but when they get there, Amanda turns out to be Aaron, a black gay guy.
Tyler is angry and they learn that Aaron has catfished many other people as Amanda. Aaron wants a boyfriend, but there are few gay people in his community.
He is also nervous about approaching someone and wishes he was a girl.
3. Antwayne and Tony (S3 E2)

This Catfish episode has many twists and turns and a huge shocker at the end. In this episode, Antwayne’s cousin contacts Nev because she believes her cousin Antwayne is getting catfished.
Carmen tells them that her cousin met a guy on a phone chat. Tony calls Antwayne and they do not text or use the internet.
They have been in a relationship for 3 years, and Antwayne also wants to meet the man. After getting useless directions from Tony, Carmen comes clean.
Carmen says she carried out the scheme as revenge because Antwayne body-shamed her. Her patience, her composure when telling Nev about her sad cousin and the reveal make this episode comical.
5. Artis and Jess (S2 E10)

In this episode, Artis is the father of three children and lives with their mother. He, however, finds the relationship unsatisfactory and goes online to find love.
Artis meets Jess and plans to leave his girlfriend for her but is unsure whether she is real. He contacts Catfish for help and they insist that he must talk to his girlfriend before they can help him meet Jess.
Research shows that Jess may not be real, and Nev and Max feel that may adversely affect Artis and his family. They get Jess to agree to a meeting, and a guy, Justin, shows up.
Justin says he is Jess and is very confrontational, even telling Artis he will be the man in the relationship. The twists and Artis’s shock make this a hilarious episode to watch.
At the end of the episode, Artis talks to his girlfriend about everything that happened, and they start working on their relationship.
6. Motherwolff and David (S8 E74)

Motherwolff is a witch and a satanist who has had an online relationship with David for 20 years. In her 50s, she wants to see if they can bring their relationship offline, but David does not consent to a meeting.
David cares about her from what Motherwolff says. Nev does research and becomes immediately suspicious of David.
Nev contacts David, who calls Motherwolff immediately and tells her that he does not like the idea of a meeting. Motherwolff breaks down, and the team wants to ensure that she gains closure by taking her to meet David.
This episode is sad because it is obvious that Motherwolff is genuinely in love and was hoping for love. The twist makes viewers laugh because David is a woman called Denise.
Denise claims that she plays David and completely becomes him. David is in love with Motherwolff, but Denise likes men, which is very confusing.
It turns out that Denise is also a personality David created, and she would not reveal who she is. That said, Motherwolff said that they were trying to make it work.
7. Ashley and Mike (S2 E10)

Self-esteem can be one of the reasons you end up lying when dating online. Ashley is higher higher-weight woman who met Mike in a chatroom.
They have been seeing each other online, but she wants to make the relationship real. Ashley sent pictures of herself as a thinner person but now wants to come clean.
Ashley hates that the lie has gone on for so long and brings a new dimension to the show; the catfish wants help. From research, it is clear that Mike lied about his appearance, too, but his sister insists that they need to talk to Mike about it.
They go to Mike’s house and find that he is also overweight, which is hilarious. He had used some other personś’s picture, and Ashley was disappointed.
It seems Ashley is judging him for being overweight, which seems hypocritical. Ashley claims she is realizing her worth. Mike and Ashley, however, stay in touch after the episode.
8. Lucas and Manny (S5 E13)

Manny, a mother of two, met Lucas on Tinder. She contacts Catfish because she believes he is a catfish and has done it to many people. Manny is worried he would use the private photos she sent him to embarrass her.
The mother of two had not been able to meet him and wanted help from Nev and Max to confront him. Urszla, another woman who Lucas had catfished told them that he said that it was an experiment.
In addition, Ursula says Lucas admitted to catfishing more than 400 women. They go to his house and find Zac. Zac tells them he wants to see how much attention he can get from women by pretending to be Lucas.
During the interview, they realize that Zac is recording the conversation. Zac has a file on which he documents his interactions with the women and who they are.
He does not seem remorseful, and Nev ensures that he makes it public that he is not Lucas.
9. Aaliyah and Alicia (S2 E11)

Aaliyah is going through a hard time as she is homeless and couch-surfing. She meets Alicia, who has never had a girlfriend, and they build a great relationship.
Alicia supports Aaliyah and helps her out when Aaliyah needs it. She contacts Catfish because Aaliyah refuses to meet her even though they live in the same area.
Aaliyah claims she is in the closet and is not ready to have a public relationship. The guys help Alicia confront her, and Aaliyah says she does not love Alicia and is just using her for gifts and money.
The homeless girl is mocking and cold and claims Alicia is just a friend. Aaliyah’s behavior is shocking, which makes this episode very funny.
10. Stephanie and Dave (S4 Bonus Episode)

Stephanie met Dave on Facebook and chatted for 7 months before she became suspicious. He refused to meet, so Stephanie contacted Catfish for help.
The guys researched and found the pictures she had were not of Dave but of Cayron. Dave is unwilling to meet Stephanie, but the guys convince him.
Turns out that Dave is a guy called Dawuan who also lied about his job. Stephanie is hurt and speaks harshly to him.
Dave/Dawuan tells her he only created the profile to stalk his ex-wife. He does not seem genuinely sorry for the deception, but the interaction is sad and funny.
11. Keyonnah and Bow Wow (S2 E14)

The most entertaining thing about Catfish is the twists and turns. Keyonnah is a huge fan of Bow Wow and meets him in a chat room.
He, however, refuses to video chat, which makes her suspicious, and she calls Catfish for help. Many viewers found it weird that Keyonnah believed the person she talked to was Bow Wow.
Bow Wow, however, had set her $10,000 to help her out when she had a hard time. Turns out Bow Wow is a woman, Dee, who meets women online and gets romantically involved with them, although they do not know she is a woman.
Dee is assisted by her cousin, Fred, who Keyonnah spoke to and thought was Bow Wow.
