What Really Happened to Jesse Baird and Luke Davies?

In February 2024, Australia was shaken by the tragic deaths of TV presenter Jesse Baird and his partner, Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies. The couple was last seen on the evening of February 18, 2024, at Baird’s Paddington residence in Sydney.

Their sudden disappearance led to an extensive investigation, culminating in the arrest of NSW Police constable Beau Lamarre-Condon.

Let’s dive into the chilling details of their disappearance, the shocking evidence that emerged, and how a trusted law enforcement officer became the prime suspect in a case that gripped the nation.

Grim Discoveries at Baird’s Home

The case took a dark turn on February 21, 2024, when a shocking discovery in a Cronulla skip bin raised alarm bells.

Inside were bloodied clothes, a phone, credit cards, keys, and an expensive watch belonging to Luke Davies.

This led authorities to search Jesse Baird’s Paddington home, where they uncovered overturned furniture, a large amount of blood, and a bullet casing linked to a police-issued firearm.

Adding to the mystery, neighbors recalled hearing shouting and gunshots on the morning of February 19, and an emergency call was made from Davies’ phone before abruptly disconnecting.

Strangely, although a police car was dispatched in response, it never stopped at Baird’s house.

The Last Time Baird and Davies Were Seen

Baird and Davies were last spotted together on the evening of February 18. When Baird failed to show up for a scheduled umpiring assignment on February 20, friends and colleagues grew concerned.

The discovery of their belongings the next day only deepened fears that something had gone terribly wrong.

With mounting evidence of violence at Baird’s residence and no sign of the couple, authorities ramped up their investigation, setting the stage for a case that would shake the nation.

Focus Shifts to Police Officer Senior Constable Beau Lamarre-Condon

The investigation quickly focused on Senior Constable Beau Lamarre-Condon, who had allegedly exhibited months of predatory behavior towards Baird, falsely claiming to be in a relationship with him.

Evidence revealed that Lamarre-Condon purchased two surfboard bags, one on February 17 and another on the afternoon of February 19.

He also rented a white Toyota Hiace van on the night of February 19, later seen in Lambton on February 22 before being abandoned in Grays Point.

Police allege that Lamarre-Condon used his police-issued firearm to murder Baird and Davies, transported their bodies in the rented van, and concealed them in the surfboard bags.

It’s believed that after the killings, he transported the bodies in surfboard bags to the remote property in Bungonia.

The discovery of the bodies provided a somber resolution to the search for Baird and Davies, bringing closure to their families and friends.

The case has since highlighted concerns regarding internal police conduct and the importance of addressing predatory behaviors within law enforcement ranks.

Lamarre-Condon Faces Serious Charges
