How to activate PlayStation Vue on Roku, Apple TV, Firestick, PS4 Account

Update: Sony Interactive Entertainment discontinued PlayStation Vue from January 30, 2020. While it may be disappointing, you can still find activation guides for alternative streaming services that offer incredible entertainment on this website.

There are several ways to activate PlayStation Vue depending on the device you are using. If you are wondering, you don’t need a PS3 or PS4 in order to subscribe and watch content on PS Vue.

The service is available on any device including Apple TV, PlayStation, Roku, and Fire TV among others.

How to set up and activate PlayStation Vue

Follow the activation guide below (depending on the device you are using) to activate PS Vue and enjoy watching live TV and PlayStation DVR content streaming.

How to activate PS Vue on Roku

If you are using Roku, follow these steps to activate PS Vue:

  • Open the Channel Store on Roku, search and add PlayStation Vue
  • Open PlayStation Vue after installation
  • Select Activate Your Device
  • Open a browser on your computer or any other device
  • Go to psvue.com/activateroku and sign in with your PlayStation ID
  • Enter the activation code shown on your Roku device

How to activate PlayStation Vue on Apple TV

If you own an Apple TV, follow this guide to activate PlayStation Vue:

  • Go to the App Store on Apple TV, search for PlayStation Vue and install it to your device
  • Open the app on your Apple TV after installing and select Activate Your Device
  • Open a browser on your computer or any other device
  • Go to psvue.com/activateappletv and sign in with your PlayStation ID
  • Enter the activation code shown on your Apple TV device

How to activate PS Vue on Amazon Fire TV

To get PS Vue to work on Amazon Fire TV:

  • Open the Amazon App Store on your Fire TV
  • Search for PlayStation Vue and install it on your device
  • Open the app on your device and select Activate Your Device
  • On your computer, open your browser and navigate to psvue.com/activatefirestick
  • Sign in with your PlayStation ID
  • Enter the activation code shown on your Amazon Firestick device

How to activate PS Vue on PlayStation 3 or 4

Follow this guide to activate PlayStation Vue or your PS3 or PS4 device:

  • Open PlayStation Store on your PS3 or PS4
  • Search and install PlayStation Vue
  • Log in with your PlayStation ID

PlayStation activation code not working?

If you can’t activate your account, ensure the following is observed:

  • Check your internet connection: A poor internet connection can cause delays or break the connection when entering the activation code. Restart your router to fix this issue.
  • You should be in an authorized country: You can only use PS Vue if you are in a country where it is allowed.
  • Sign up for an account: Sign up for PlayStation Vue account on your computer before you activate it on another device.

PlayStation Vue keeps logging me out! How to fix

If you’re being logged out, it is due to the following reasons:

  • Your Roku, Apple TV, Fire Stick, or PlayStation device’s software or firmware has just updated. Reactivating PS Vue should give you back access to your account.
  • Your PS Vue has just updated. Just reactivate and continue enjoying your experience.
  • You are signing in from different IPs. If your account has more than one user from different IPs, you may be logged out frequently and you’ll require reactivation. Consider changing your password if you haven’t shared your account details yet PS Vue keeps logging you out. You should also fix home location errors.
