Luckily, you can fix some of these issues using the steps below.

Here is what to do.
- Press the Home button on your remote
- In the Settings shelf, select Help
- Scroll down to find System Software Update
- Under System, update the system software
The TV will check for updates and download them if they are available. Once downloaded, follow the instructions to install them.
2. Factory reset the TV
A factory reset can help to fix OS issues and other errors you are facing with applications and the system altogether. It will also clear some memory and allow you to start anew.
Here is how to factory reset Sony TV.
- Using your remote, press the Home button
- Select Settings
- Choose System Settings
- Select Customer Support
- Choose Factory Settings
- Press OK
A factory reset will erase the TV’s data and settings. Your television will return to the same way you purchased it for the first time.
That will allow you to install updated apps without errors.

- Press the Home button on your remote
- Depending on your TV’s menu options, select the Apps icon
- Go to Google Play Store
- Choose Settings
- Select Auto-update apps
- Select Auto-update apps at any time
The steps above will update the apps to newer versions. Next, open the applications and try again.
4. Uninstall then reinstall the app
Another option is to uninstall and install a new version of the app. Here is how.
- Press Home
- Under Apps, select Google Play Store
- Scroll to select My Apps
- Select the app you want to uninstall
- Choose Uninstall
- Press OK
Next, go to Google Play Store, search for the app, and select it. The option will allow you to download Sony Smart TV apps.
If Sony Bravia TV apps won’t load, consider restarting your TV. Or, power-cycle the device and try again. Another solution is to uninstall the application and reinstall it.
The last resort will be to factory reset your TV and install new apps.
