Samsung TV Plus adds more free channels for UK viewers

Samsung TV owners in the UK now have access to extra free channels after a recent Samsung TV Plus update.

Samsung TV Plus comes built into most Samsung smart TVs. It offers live channels and on-demand shows without a subscription.

In May 2026, Samsung introduced several new channels featuring sports, wrestling, and drama. One of the additions is Wrestling Legends TV, which shows WWE matches, highlights, and behind-the-scenes content around the clock.

What new channels are now on Samsung TV Plus?

Sports fans can now watch Eurovision Sport for Olympics coverage, diving, artistic swimming, and more. There is also a Bundesliga football channel with live matches and highlights during the season.

Horse racing fans can enjoy Racing TV Play, which features highlights and related shows. Fans of Korean dramas have new Series K channels filled with box sets.

These new channels add to the changes made in March 2026, when Samsung teamed up with UKTV. That partnership brought channels like U&Drama, U&Dave, and U&W to viewers who only need an internet connection, with no aerial required.

Most people use the Samsung TV Plus app or go to channels starting at about 4000 in the TV guide. You do not need a Samsung account for basic use, but having one helps with features like watchlists.

Since the service is free and supported by ads, you will see adverts. You still need a TV licence for live UK broadcasts, just like with regular TV.

Why people are happy about the new free channels

Many viewers appreciate having more options. Sports fans can now watch niche content that used to cost extra. Families can enjoy wrestling, football, and drama all in one place.

Retirees and people watching their budgets especially benefit from more free choices in the evenings and on weekends.

To get the new channels, connect your TV to Wi-Fi with at least 10Mbps download speed and check for software updates in your settings. Updates usually happen automatically, but it helps to check manually. You do not need any extra hardware or apps beyond what is already on your TV.
