The drama begins with Je-Ha’s directorial debut, which is a huge hit. However, the event takes a tragic turn when he learns that his father, Lee Du-young, an acclaimed director, has passed away.

Following this, Je-Ha enters a creative slump and spends the next five years distancing himself from the filmmaking industry, with no new projects in sight.

The creative slump leads to questions about Je-Ha’s success, with some people (including Je-Ha) believing that his first project was only famous because of his father’s legacy.

However, he has a chance for a comeback by remaking a famous movie about terminal, Love in White. At first, he is hesitant because it was his father’s movie, which he directed while his mother was terminally ill.

Later, Je-Ha learns that his mother was the one who wrote the script and ends up changing his mind about remaking the film.

Lee Da-Eum, on the other hand, is a terminally ill but bubbly girl who likes hanging around the hospital, where she films things with a handy cam while befriending people she comes across.

Je-Ha and Da-Eum’s paths start crossing, first when she accidentally films him when he is leaving a film release after party, and later when they both attend the screening of Love In White

When Je-Ha decides to remake Love In White, he approaches Da-Eum’s doctor in search of a terminal illness consultant, and that is how he formally meets Da-Eum.

Our Movie’s amazing plot and script

Besides the impressive cast, Our Movie’s script and plot have impressed many K-drama fans.

One user on IMDb, who claims to be an avid K-drama fan, described the TV show as having “the best two [pilot] episodes” with well-written dialogues and actors who are a perfect fit for their characters.

The user also praises the TV show for having a touching storyline, stating:

It’s such a heartwarming K-drama that really changes your perspective of life. It makes you realize how time is important and not all people have the time you have.”

It really shows you the life/perspective of a terminally ill person, especially in this case, that she knows from a young age that she is going to be terminally ill, and that fear of not be able to do anything and knowing that you can get sick anytime, and not doing the things you want in the fear of dying.”

Another IMDb has praised the TV show for being “a melodrama that hooks you in every line” and with emotionally rich storytelling and strong character dynamics.

The conversations, especially between the leads, aren’t just words-they hit deep. There’s tension, vulnerability, and unspoken feelings in every line. You can feel the weight behind what they’re saying and what they’re not saying.”
