Our favourite miners might be coming back to our screens soon, although Discovery has not given an exact date for the release. In fact, Discovery has not cancelled or renewed the show or confirmed any news regarding it.
It’s rumoured that production began in August 2023, and a probable release date of October 2024 is imminent.
Cast members set to return, and those leaving
Season 15 is expected to feature some familiar faces such as Parker Schnabel, Todd Hoffman, Tony Beets, and Chris Doumitt. However, Fred Lewis, who was not a fan favourite, might not return.
Fred Lewis has been controversial not just with fans but also with cast members who have had trouble working with him. News of new cast members is yet to be confirmed.
How many episodes will Gold Rush Season 15 have?
It is difficult to estimate the number of episodes in season 15 since the episode count per season is inconsistent. The show, from season one to fourteen, boasts about 300+ episodes.
Seasons 1 to 10, 13, and 14 all had specials alongside the other episodes that aired. Given the reduction in the number of episodes per season, a rough estimate would be that Season 15 will have fewer than 26 episodes.
Gold Rush Season 15 potential storyline
Gold Rush season 15 will continue to follow the lives of the miners in their respective groups, led by Hoffman, Beets, and Schnabel.
It will showcase how they deal with challenges and the unique strategies they apply.
