The Chosen is an excellent option if you are looking for faith-based shows on Great American Pure Flix. The crowdfunded show is a historical drama about Jesus’s life adapted from the four Gospels books of the Bible.

But The Choose goes even further than most movies and TV shows based on Jesus’s life. It also focuses on personalities often paid little to no attention in the Bible.

For example, The Chosen ensemble includes characters like Nicodemus (a religious leader), Matthew, the tax collector (who is presented as being on the autism spectrum), and Mary Magdalene (portrayed as a sex worker who has addiction and mental health issues).

While some of the scenes on The Chosen have attracted controversy, it is a great show to watch, whether for its religious content or entertainment factor.

2. Vindication

Cast: Todd Terry, Venus Monique, Peggy Schott, Steve Mokate, Emma Elle Robers, T.C. Stallings, Matt Holmes, Megan Glover, Dequan Ryan, Candace Kirkpatrick, and Andrew Cheney.

Therefore, Vindication is a great TV show to stream on Pure Flix, whether you are a Christian or not, as a family or alone.

It also deals with several heavy themes, such as substance abuse and addiction, adultery, relationship troubles, and more.

With 18 seasons and 264 episodes (and counting) aired Heartland is one of the longest-running shows on Pure Flix. Therefore, it is an excellent candidate for binge-watching, especially as a family.
