DAZN to Launch FIFA+ Channel Globally Featuring Live Matches and Original Football Content

DAZN and FIFA have deepened their partnership with the global launch of a dedicated FIFA+ channel branded the “Home of Football.” This channel will be inside DAZN’s streaming platform.

In a joint announcement on June 14, 2025, DAZN and FIFA confirmed that they will integrate and operate the channel on DAZN platforms worldwide. DAZN’s global streaming infrastructure will host live matches, archives, and original content.

FIFA+ Channel struggles

FIFA+ initially launched in early 2022 but has reportedly struggled with reach and financial sustainability. This partnership is a game changer as it outsources a ballooning drain on their finances.

“At FIFA, we are proud to always be looking towards the future, looking at how to innovate, with the specific aim of protecting and nurturing the growth of our game for the generations ahead,” FIFA secretary-general Mattias Grafström said

The cooperation also takes care of an underperforming direct‑to‑consumer product to a partner with actual streaming expertise and an existing global user base.

In turn, DAZN gains exclusive global football content as it seeks to expand its market presence and justify its premium valuation.

“This partnership with DAZN aligns exactly with that objective. Their vision is global, as is ours, and we look forward to furthering our collaboration with them through Fifa+ as the Home of Football,” Mattias added.

2025 FIFA Club World Cup

A central pillar of the collaboration is exclusive global rights to the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. This is a newly expanded 32-team tournament currently ongoing in the United States from June 14 to July 13.

The agreement, valued at approximately $1 billion, ensures all 63 matches will be available on a free-to-view basis on DAZN globally.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino emphasized the tournament’s accessibility:

“Through this agreement, billions of football fans worldwide can now watch the most widely accessible club football tournament ever – FOR FREE.”

DAZN will sublicense select matches. These are 24 to TNT Sports in the U.S. and 23 to Channel 5 in the UK as part of regional distribution strategies.

Post-tournament access

Once the Club World Cup concludes, DAZN will transition FIFA+ on DAZN into a 24/7 football news hub. This will include breaking news, match updates, and global football narratives.

For DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev, the agreement marks a pivotal shift:

“This partnership with FIFA cements DAZN’s role as the ultimate digital destination for football, allowing fans everywhere to access a vast, premium football content library… Together with FIFA’s brand and reach, we will deliver an unmatched entertainment experience, supporting FIFA’s vision of expanding the game’s global footprint and engaging new audiences.”

The platform will have full access to FIFA’s extensive repository. It will be covering over 150 men’s and women’s leagues, national team fixtures, full-match replays, documentaries, and archival footage.

FIFA+ on DAZN will be a one-stop football destination, with:

  • Live fixtures: Including Club World Cup and additional matches from domestic and international competitions
  • Archived matches and documentaries: Full replays from World Cups (1970–2022). Originals like “Mo: A Global Icon,” “Golden Boot,” and “After Diego.”
  • Behind-the-scenes content: Exclusive interviews and highlight packages around elite leagues and tournaments

DAZN’s existing multi-device support ensures easy access across Apple TV, Android, web, PlayStation, Roku, and Smart TVs.

Free-to-view distribution model

Crucially, FIFA+ on DAZN will be free to anyone who registers an account, requiring no paid subscription. The firm aims to monetize via advertising and sponsorship, using glimpsed content to build long-term premium loyalty.
