Latarian Milton was sentenced to 15 years in prison after he carjacked a Lyft car in 2017. It is not known whether he is still in prison.

The Hood Rat Kid
Latarian Milton is known for being the 7-year-old carjacker popularly known as The Hood Rat Kid. His grandmother raised Latarian Milton, and his mother is called Sheneequa.
Latarian rose to fame when he stole his grandmother’s car after she told him to stop smoking. He went out to do “some hoodrat things” and damaged a lot of property.
Later on, Milton was given a psych evaluation after he attacked his grandmother at Walmart. He became quite well-known due to the media coverage and social media posts about his crimes.
Middle School
After his grandmother’s carjacking and attack, Latarian Milton decided to change, as he believed he would not succeed while doing bad things.
He graduated from middle school and was excited to attend high school and become a better person.
Latarian planned to complete high school, join the Navy, study engineering, or play professional football.
He did not do any of these things.
Lyft Carjacking
In 2017, he and three men carjacked a Lyft and stole from the driver. Latarian Milton took the car and drove off with two of the men while the third one was robbing the driver.
He was 16 years old, 9 years after his first crime. He was arrested in Riviera Beach and charged with burglary, committing a felony with a gun, and carjacking with a firearm.
Latarian was tried and sentenced to 15 years in prison in the same year.
In February 2023, Latarian Milton was arrested for assault and eluding/resisting arrest by Upper Saddle River police.
That has left many wondering how he was free and walking around after his 15-year sentence. The charge was reduced to obstruction of governmental functions.
It is not known whether he went to prison for this crime or why he was walking around and getting arrested.
