McBee Dynasty Season 3 Confirmed as Steven McBee Sr. Faces Prison

The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, often referred to as the McBee Dynasty,  has been renewed for the third season.   However, it comes amid the looming shadow of legal troubles surrounding the family patriarch, Steven McBee Sr.

Bravo officially confirmed the renewal of McBee Dynasty Season 3 on October 15, 2025, a day before McBee Sr. was sentenced to two years in federal prison for his involvement in a multi-million dollar crop insurance fraud scheme.

This juxtaposition has only heightened interest in the show and the real-life saga of the McBee family.

Season 3 Renewal Announcement

Bravo’s announcement of Season 3 came less than two years after McBee Dynasty’s March 2024 premiere and just over a month following the Season 2 finale.

The second season of the show had a ratings increase of up to 82 % on Peacock and 213% on DVR, with 1.3 million weekly viewers across platforms

This highlighted the reality series as a compelling window into one of America’s most talked-about modern ranching families, grappling with preserving their agricultural legacy amid enormous legal and financial challenges.

While the cast of McBee Family season 3 has not been officially confirmed, fans of the McBee Family can expect the return of Jesse McBee, Calah Jackson, Steven McBee Jr., Cole McBee, and others to continue documenting the family’s journey.

Steven McBee Sr.’s Legal Trouble and Sentencing

The most dramatic development facing the McBee family and the show is the sentencing of Steven McBee Sr., aged 52 years old, who was handed down a federal prison term of 24 months on October 16, 2025.

The sentencing followed McBee Sr.’s November 2024 plea to orchestrating a crop insurance fraud scheme that defrauded the U.S. Department of Agriculture of over $4 million between 2018 and 2020.

Similarly,  McBee was ordered to serve another two years of supervised release after completing his sentence and to pay $4,022,124 in restitution.

Court documents also required him to forfeit all property considered proceeds of the fraud, including luxury watches such as a Tag Heuer Formula 1, a Tag Heuer Grand Carrera, and a Rolex Daytona.

McBee Sr. is scheduled to surrender himself by December 1, 2025, at the Federal Prison Camp in Yankton, South Dakota.

He publicly expressed gratitude for the support and prayers he received from friends and fans on social media in the days following sentencing.

Steven McBee Sr.’s sentencing impact on the family and the show

The legal issues have profoundly affected the McBee family, professionally and personally.

The reality series has not shied away from showing the strain the FBI investigation and legal battles placed on family relationships and the ranching business.
