Roku has added 12 free channels, now available on Roku TVs and players. Viewers can now watch BBC and PBS content for free, expanding The Roku Channel’s ad-supported lineup.
This update appeals to a wide range of viewers, including fans of British dramas, nature documentaries, and Spanish-language shows. The Roku Channel now offers over 400 linear channels, with new additions like BBC Drama, BBC Adventures, and popular PBS programs.

Users can start watching these channels right away through the Live TV guide, without needing to subscribe or sign in. Roku sees this expansion as a way to offer popular shows while relying less on paid subscriptions.
