This NBC-linked streaming company has just picked up the U.S. rights to SNL UK. However, the rollout is next-day streaming. This is different from a same-night live U.S. simulcast.
Trade reports say Peacock secured the U.S. deal in early March, with episodes beginning on March 22 and then dropping weekly after each U.K. broadcast.
We now have the easiest legal streaming option in the U.S. for this series. You do not need Sky or NOW if you are in America. You just need Peacock once the first episode is released.
What is SNL UK?
This is the first British adaptation of NBC’s long-running sketch-comedy institution. The show keeps the same live.
It is also in a fast-moving style as the American original, with an opening monologue, topical sketches, live music, and a British version of Weekend Update.
