Sherri, a syndicated daytime talk show hosted by television personality and comedian Sherri Shepherd, has been cancelled after four successful seasons.
The Emmy-nominated program launched in 2022 as a replacement for The Wendy Williams Show and quickly became a recognisable part of daytime television, drawing strong audiences on FOX stations.

Shepherd had guest-co-hosted several episodes of the Wendy Williams show before launching her own show. Her performance was key in convincing the networks that she could have a show of her own.
The series featured celebrity interviews, comedy segments, and pop culture discussions, and was filmed at Chelsea Studios in New York.
Sherri won two NAACP Image Awards and earned four daytime Emmy nominations during the show’s run.
Despite the program’s positive reception among viewers, it will end its fourth season in the fall of 2026.
Why was Sherri cancelled after season 4?
The shift in how audiences consume entertainment is one of the biggest reasons behind the show’s cancellation.
Daytime television used to dominate weekday programming, but streaming platforms, social media, and on-demand viewing have dramatically changed viewing habits, leading to a decline in ratings and tougher competition.
On February 2, 2026, the production company behind the series, Debmar-Mercury, confirmed the cancellation, attributing it to rapidly changing daytime television.
“This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production, which has found strong creative momentum this season, or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd,” Debmar-Mercury Co. presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus explained.
“We believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms.”

“Our show has not been renewed for another season. I am truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love that I have received from all of you.”
“From the audience to everybody on social media, to people who stop me in the store to talk to me despite not me having a wig on, emails, texts, I feel every bit of love that you have been sending to me and thank you so much from the bottom of my herat I want to say thank you for welcvoming me into your homnes every single day, for laughing and crying with us,” she stated.
Further, Sherri made it clear that she was not ready to give up on the show completely.
“The show was built on joy. I am so grateful to have had the chance to do it for four seasons. I am not ready to throw in the towel yet; we are going to continue airing the episodes throughout the fall.”
Further, the audience members gave Shepherd standing ovations in appreciation of her dedication and work for the program.
