Bargain Hunt is one of the longest-running British TV game shows, with 71 seasons and over 1800 episodes aired. Since it started in 2000, the BBC series has been presented by several on-air personalities.
However, over the years, some of these Bargain Hunt presenters have moved on to pursue other ventures. Below is a look at these personalities and what they are doing today.

1. David Dickinson

David Dickinson is one of the most famous Bargain Hunt presenters. He was the show’s first presenter, a role that he held for three years.

Before hosting Bargain Hunt, he had become popular after appearing as an antiques expert on ITV’s This Morning and BBC Two’s The Antiques Shows.
After leaving Bargain Hunt, Dickinson went on to present Dealing With Dickinson on BBC Two. He then moved to ITV in 2006 to present his own show, Dickinson’s Real Deal, which he continues to host to this day.
While at ITV, Dickinson also hosted The David Dickinson show, David Dickinson’s Name Your Price, and appeared several times on Loose Women.
2. Tim Wonnacott

Tim Wonnacott is another of the most popular former Bargain Hunt presenters. He replaced David Dickinson on the show in 2003 and served as its host until 2015.
While hosting Bargain Hunt, he appeared on several other shows, including Restoration, Top Gear, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, This Week We Went to War, and This Morning, usually as an antiques expert.
After leaving Bargain Hunt, Tim Wonnacott started narrating another BBC show, Antiques Road Trip. As of 2025, he is still the show’s narrator as well as the narrator for its spin-off Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
3. Eric Knowles

Eric Knowles is an antiques aficionado who featured on Bargain Hunt from 2017 to 2023. He was one of the show’s regular presenters after Tim Wonnacott left the programme.
