Canal+ Distribution, a company specializing in content distribution and TV channels, has announced the launch of Kanal D Drama on Roku. The service will be available through premium subscriptions on The Roku Channel.
Kanal D Drama will only be available in the United States and Mexico. Below is a detailed look at what the launch of the new service means for Roku users.

Users will get access to Spanish-dubbed Turkish series
Kanal D Drama is a subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service dedicated exclusively to Turkish dramas (Dizis) dubbed into Spanish.
It was launched in 2018 in the Latin America market and is available on mobile devices, Fire TV, and Samsung TV Plus.
The service offers an extensive collection of Turkish dramas in various genres, including romance, comedy, action, crime, period dramas, and more.
Its launch on Roku will significantly expand the platform’s content library, providing users with more entertainment options.
Both Canal+ Distribution and Roku have welcomed the launch of the SVOD service:
“We are excited to expand the presence of Kanal D Drama in Mexico and the United States through one of the most relevant platforms in both markets,” stated Carols Fernadez, Canal+ Distribution America’s CEO, in a statement.

He also noted that the move was part of Kanal D Drama’s commitment to reach more Spanish-speaking audiences by providing them with universal content that “transcends borders.”
Roku also welcomed the move to launch the Turkish drama service on the platform, with Randy Ahn, Roku’s Vice President of Subscriptions, stating:
“With the launch of Premium Subscriptions on Roku in Mexico, and by adding new partners to the experience in the U.S., we are giving viewers easier access to their favorite content from subscription services like Kanal D Drama.”
He also emphasized the importance of the launch for Roku’s efforts to improve the streaming experience for its users.
“This expansion represents a key step in our mission to simplify the streaming experience and deliver the best possible entertainment, whether free or paid, all in one place,” stated the Roku executive.
Unified viewing within The Roku Channel
The launch of Kanal K Drama on The Roku Channel will offer users a unified viewing experience. From now on, users can subscribe to the SVOD service and manage their subscription via the Roku Premium Subscriptions platform.
With a single login, Roku users can also watch Kanal K Drama’s content, and that of other premium services they have subscribed to, all on one platform. In addition, Roku offers a single bill for all premium subscriptions, providing users with a simplified billing experience.
A 7-day free trial

Kanal D Drama’s launch includes a 7-day free trial. During this period, Roku users will be able to sample Turkish dramas from the SVOD service before deciding whether to subscribe.
After the 7-day free trial, users can choose between a monthly and an annual subscription.
The press release announcing the launch of Kanal K Drama on The Roku Channel did not reveal how much users will pay for the service. However, the stand-alone subscription to the SVOD service costs $4.99 per month or $49.99 annually.
